Evergreen in the City of Angels: A History of A Los Angeles Cemetery

This is the second edition of this book and is the culmination the Studio for Southern California History's annual tradition of holding a walking tour at Evergreen Cemetery. Established in 1877, Evergreen Cemetery has many Los Angeles histories including Charlotta Amanda Bass, Jesse Belvin, Bridget Biddy Mason, Toyo Miyatake, African American actors from early Hollywood, athletes, veterans from the Mexican American War to the present struggles in Afghanistan and Iraq.
