The book covers 21 philosophers and about 40 of their stories and ideas. Each story is captured in a page with an illustration inspired by paintings on ancient Greek pottery and the story’s text.These philosophers’ life stories were enshrined in the works of others, passed down via lores through history. Accordingly, although it’s difficult to verify all these stories, they do reveal the humanness of these brilliantly eccentric characters. This book does not seek to be exhaustive in terms of explanations, stories, or philosophers.
