The Full size is 20" long and holds 3 tealight candles, while the Super size is 30" and holds 5 candles. The Full size 20" is handmade from your choice of walnut, maple, or cherry each with a contrasting inlay to amplify its beauty and sits on a pair of risers made of the same wood as the inlay. The only 20" holder with no inlay is made of zebrawood. This gorgeous wood has such strong color and a unique pattern in its grain that it requires no enhancement. The Super 30" candle holders are crafted with your choice of walnut, maple, and cherry and are produced with no inlay, displaying longer lines and grain patterns. They also sit on a pair of risers made of the same wood as their 20" counterpart. This allows the candle holder to exhibit more character by taking advantage of blemishes, holes, and cracks. These candle holders offer a unique addition to any decor to any room on any occasion and are handcrafted not only for their beauty, but to provide decades of use. Simply keep them dusted, free of spills, and occasionally apply a coat of beeswax to maintain their finish.

• Nominal Dimensions : This 3-hole candle holder is 30"L x 3.25"W x 1.75"D. As each candle holder is milled, cut, and sanded one at a time, the actual dimensions may vary slightly. Each holder comes with its own tealight candles and glass cup to sit in. This protects the wood from being scorched and from wax spills or overflow.
• Crafting : Curly maple was chosen as risers and inlay for the walnut candle holders for its contrasting color and complimentary grain pattern. Each candle holder is selected, milled, cut to size, and routed for curved edges from raw stock...then sanded by hand through 4 levels up to a fine finish.
• Finish : Once sanded, these candle holders receive 3 coats of a 1:1 blend of wood oil (BLO or tung) and oil-based urethane. Each coat is applied 24 hrs apart to allow the oil to penetrate the wood fibers and the urethane to dry. The oil replenishes the natural oil lost when the wood was harvested and the urethane provides a tough finish that withstands wear and tear.
• Final Finish : After the last coat of finish dries, the candle holder receives a coat of wax (a blend of beeswax and mineral oil) for a sheen the urethane cannot provide. The result is a beautiful luster.
