Our KW4520LR is an ideal water filter cartridge for chlorine / chemical and lead reduction. This cartridge will provide Chlorine, Taste, and Odor Reduction Capacity for more than 18000 gallons at 6 gallon per minute flow rate. When used as a point of entry filter it is recommended a dirt sediment cartridge be used for pre-filtration. This will extend cartridge life and avoid pressure drop / flow rate reductions. The extruded carbon block design will ensure that this cartridge will perform optimally for 6 - 8 months before being exhausted. The NSF certified coconut shell carbon provides impressive adsorbtive capacity ideally suited for water purification. The KW4520LR coconut shell carbon block filter employs Metsorb Lead Removal Media. This media is made in the USA by Graver Technologies and is NSF Certified. The actual water filter is assembled in Taiwan. This filter has industry standard dimension of 4.5" (W) x 20" (L) and is rated for 5 micron sediment filtration. This common size makes it compatible with filter housing manufacturers such as G E (GXWH35F, GXH30C, GXWH40L), Whirl pool (WHKF-DWHBB), Cuno(AP801), Sears/Kenmore(38448), Culligan(Big Blue) and Ametek (Big Blue), among others. Our KW4520LR is compatible with KX Industries 06-425-20-20 and Watts MAXPB-FF20.
