Horn Wood is a dense, high-character natural driftwood. Think Spider Wood’s wild branching energy mixed with the sturdy, no‑nonsense attitude of Pacific Driftwood. With warm tones and bold, antler‑like protrusions, these nano pieces prove that big personality can absolutely come in small packages.

Product Features and Benefits

  • The signature "horn-like" protrusions offer sharp, clean lines that provide immediate contrast and drama to your layout. It’s an ideal aquarium wood for creating focal points that catch the eye.
  • The rough, aged texture of Horn Wood is tailor-made for attaching aquatic mosses, Ferns, or Bucephalandra. The crags allow plant roots to grip easily, creating a lush, professional planted aquarium hardscape.
  • Many pieces feature flat bases or sturdy trunks, making them exceptionally easy to stack or lean against stones. Combine several pieces to create a complex "sunken forest" effect.

Size Specifications
Photos provided are a representation of what you will receive. This is a natural aquarium hardscape product; please expect variations in shape, weight, and character.

  • Nano Range: 4–10 inches (Average)
  • 5-Pack: Recommended for nano-tanks and aquariums up to 10 gallons.
  • 10-Pack: Best for larger setups, providing the variety needed to create a cohesive, wide-scale forest look.

Preparation and Care
Driftwood is a natural product and requires a bit of prep before it’s ready for prime time.

  1. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit.
  2. The Floating Phase: It will float initially. We recommend soaking it thoroughly or boiling it. A large stone or heavy decor may be placed on top to ensure a non-waterlogged piece of wood stays submerged.
  3. Tannin Management: Like most aquarium driftwood, this will release tannins, giving your water a warm, "tea-colored" tint. This is a natural occurrence, and the effects will subside over time. If you prefer crystal-clear water, a 1–2 hour boil is the best way to fast-track the process. You can also reduce this effect through consistent water changes or through the addition of Aquario Neo Carbon Bag

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1–2 hours to help release tannins.
