THE TECHNICAL ENTREPRENEUR: (The 24-Hour Employee)

I wrote this book as a wake-up call to individuals that at some point in their careers will transition from a technical position into management, or even into an entrepreneurship role.I personally consider this a big leap that could be a double sword to some individuals, due to the fact that as human beings, we feel the impact when, for some reason, we move out of our “comfort zones”. It could benefit the individual if he/she fully understands that regardless of previous successes in a technical career, once a new role and new responsibilities are accepted, he/she is no longer performing in the technical field.Not realizing this fact, the individual will develop unnecessary frustrations that will disrupt the company’s culture. Once he jumps into the executive ladder, he must realize that returning to his comfort zone is not an option.Executing at the technical level of the business without realizing that as a manager, or entrepreneur he will face bigger and more serious issues that require all his attention or delegation, the individual will morph into one of the many characters and management styles that I mention in this book.This is what “The Technical Entrepreneur” is about.
